This definitely is something I struggle with too for many years and nearly got divorce over being on social media too much. I was then able to see the craziness when I was “outside the box”. And although I didn’t delete my personal accounts because of those distant few I wanted to have “contact with”, the thought of online interaction actually gave me anxiety because I didn’t really have time to interact. And now that anxiety is starting to hit with my business account too. I feel like I put out a lot of effort, but being a little guy, I don’t even know if anyone sees it or just scrolls by. And trying to stay connected with emails, I rarely get a response and then it just ends up going to their junk mail. The internet is so frustrating!

It’s weird, but people have emailed me telling me how brave it was to leave social media. I don’t feel like it was a brave choice. It would have been brave to stay, knowing how much it was affecting me. I truly envy people who are strong enough to ignore the negativity and move on with their day.
